How To Sled

First, you must be extremely cute just like the boys in the below pictures.

Then you must borrow the top of a luggage carrier from the neighbours.

Take Off

Keep going

And Going

Until You Hit The Tree At The Bottom Of Hill
(Which is keeping you from going over the bank into the creek)

Then You Roll Out

And The Oldest Sibling Must Carry The Sled Back Up The Hill
And of course it it good to have mom hanging around to take pictures and hold the baby.

Harlem Ambassadors

We had a big night out the other night.  We went and saw Uncle Matt play on a team against the Harlem Ambassadors.  It was a benefit game for Habitat For Humanity I think.

Uncle Matt made a three pointer.
Playing a little defense.
The game was okay but getting to hang with friends and family was great.

Nannie & Ti
Us and the Hesters rode together.
Ti & Aunt Stephanie
Getting a little love from the cousins.
The boys thought getting their picture taken with one of the players was cool.  He was very nice and didn't care to take a little time out for the boys.

He invited them to play a game of musical chairs.  This was the highlight of the night.

This is Noah getting out of the game.  I was so proud of his good attitude.  There was no crying on anyones part.  HURRAY
Andrew tied for first place.  Isn't he so handsome with camo pants tucked into his cowboy boots.  I think the too big razorback sweater really compliments the whole outfit.  If I had known that they were going to be down in front of people I would have made sure they looked a little more presentable.

He was so proud of his picture.  He took it to school with him the next day and then it was Noah's turn to take it with him.

They might not have been really famous or anything but the boys didn't know any different and they had a great time.

My Husband Rocks Friday

My Husband Rocks Friday because he loves to do stuff with the kids.  He made the arrangements to go see Uncle Matt and the Harlem Ambassadors in Springdale. (a whole other post)  He even let the kids get stuff from the concession stand.  You know the concession stand and skittles are the highlight of any event.

My Husband Rocks Friday because he can fix about anything.  He has been fixing the games in the children's area at church.  I think he likes the challenge to make something work that has been broken.  Oh the excitement you can see in his eyes when he gets to take something apart and work on it.  Its like a child in a candy store.  I am thinking Andrew might be a lot like him.

So what does your husband do to rock?

Another Sweet Andrew

I hear banging from his room.  As I walk around the corner I see Andrew hammering a screwdriver into the door frame hole that the door knob goes in.

Mom - Andrew don't do that.
Andrew - I am trying to figure out what is in there.
Mom - It doesn't matter, don't do that
Andrew - I want to find something to work on (he is a lot like his daddy)

I leave the room and I hear singing "Oh how I love Jesus".  That just washed away all irritation of him hammering a screwdriver into the door frame.

If that could be the song in all of our hearts that we live out each day.  OH HOW I LOVE JESUS.

The weekend

We went home this weekend.  Below is my dad birthday present.  "A Little Red Wagon"  He said he had one growing up and him and his brother had so much fun with it.  All the grandkids enjoyed it this weekend.

How many times did I say "There is barb wire at the end of that hill remember"

Noah trying to stear it.

Aunt Lanna pulled Noah and Ti around the yard.

This is Noah saying I am too cool for having my picture taken

He was willing for me to take a picture of him and Papaw

With a little encouragement of course.

We helped split some wood.  Andrew was a big helper.

That is when he was not being pushed around by Austin

Memaw brought Ti out to watch for a while.

Ti - I surrender

Ti - I love my Memaw

My Husband Rocks Friday

Well I got this idea from another blog so I really can't take credit for thinking of it myself.  This is the first edition of "My Husband Rocks Friday".

My husband rocks because he took off of work and hour early today and went by walmart for me and also helped me clean the house before company got here.  We had friends over for games and I have been working a little extra this week (praise the Lord) so the house was feeling my nonattention to it.  Even the kids helped by getting their rooms semi-clean for the guest.

Andrew "mom why do we have to clean".  Mom "because I don't want the company to think we are really nasty people.  Just a little bit nasty".  lol

My husband also rocks because he is so willing to help where needed.  We went home last weekend and he helped stack wood for my parents without one complaint.  Some men might have wanted to avoid work on their day off but he didn't mind at all.

Well I could think of some more stuff but I need to save some for my next post of "My Husband Rocks Friday"

This is his Elvis face.

So what does your husband do to Rock?

Andrew - I want to remember

Andrew - Mom does Jelly come from Jelly Fish?

Andrew is 5 1/2 years old.  He is an extra sweet boy most of the time unless he is beating up his big brother.  He still likes to lay in bed with me in the morning and drink his hot chocolate.  He is learning a lot in Kids Day.   He is definitely left handed and can color great.  He is very tender hearted.  When he prays which is at about at every meal he has about 8 people that he prays for every time.  He never forgets if he hears of someone needing prayer.  I have to let him know if someone can be taken off of his list.  He is such a good helper I am really going to miss him next year when he is in kindergarten.  He has a crush on a little girl at his school.  He is clueless that she doesn't seem to feel the same way.  I know my heart is going to break for him when he finally realizes that just because you like someone that doesn't mean that they will like you back.  Really how could anyone not like my sweet Andrew.  He is continueing to ask questions about salvation but he just doesn't quiet get it yet.  I look forward to him making that decision and having no doubts about it.  He is wearing size 6 clothes and loves to eat spaghetti.

Ti - 11 Months

Where has the time gone.  It seems like just yesterday, I had just found out I was pregnant.  Ti is 11 months old.  He is a very happy baby.  He sleeps through the night about half of the time.  He is still taking two naps a day and is starting to really enjoy eating table food.  Thanks goodness, I am about to go broke buying all that baby food.  He has four teeth through.  He crawls everywhere and is now trying to walk along side stuff.   He is wearing 18 month clothing mostly and a size 3 diaper.  He loves to wave at people.  He is a very loving baby.  He loves hugs and kisses.  He still thinks his brothers are the greatest and they are enjoying him too.  They love to make him laugh which is pretty easy to do.  He makes me smile all the time.  You just can't not smile back when a baby smiles at you.  We are so blessed to have him in our lives.

Aunt Lanna got him this toy that you stand up and play with for Christmas.  He loves playing with it.  It is just the right size.

He is chewing on everything.  Including his family sometimes.

But he is just so stinkin cute.

Ti "Mom look what I can do"
Being the thrifty mom that I am I stuffed everyone of those wipeys right back into the box.

Ti "Mom, have you read this important notice on my new carseat."

Really how can you say no to this face.
