Cast Your Vote

I know that every mother thinks their child is the cutest. But mine really is. LOL I entered him into the gap photo contest. If you would like to vote for this cutey just use the link below. Of course I have looked at the some of the competition. Lets just say love can be blind. hehehe

I realize only a few people actually look at this blog but hey we might have a chance. You just never know. I know one vote he will get..... MINE

Man I have cute babies. lol

You can vote once every 24 hours just encase you want to cast more than one vote. Of course that is just if you want to. lol. I think Gap will be choosing 20 finalist and then maybe whoever has the most votes out of them will win or something like that.

Noah's Birthday Party

Noah 8th birthday party was at the youth building at our church. It is called the Edge. They have a lot of different video games along with ping pong, pool, and air hockey. He chose to have oreo icecream cake for his birthday cake. This was perfect the kids actually ate it and came back for seconds. The cool parents that we are we served pop instead of capri suns. Of course we weren't cool enough to figure out how to play all the video games. Good thing the kids were there to instruct us. He got a lot of cool gifts and is enjoying all of them.
Anybody for a little air hockey?

This was the real reason he wanted to use the Edge. He wanted to play rockband.

Pops and Miles playing a little pool.

Birthday Cake
There are a few kids missing out of the picture because they had to leave early. But here is most of the partiers.

God is Good All The Time

Well I sometimes have a hard time letting God be God. I want to take things into my own hands. I think I can handle things better than him for some reason.

Bro. Barry preached yesterday about all things work together for good. He spoke of a woman that had a lot of medical issues which eventually took her life. She never quit letting God work all things to the good in her life.

Sometimes I have a hard time believing that . I know for me personally some things have happened in my life that I have not seen anything good come out of it. It still seems to have a negative impact on my life. I look for the good but I can't seem to find it.

I was talking to Timmy last night and my question was. Do you think everything works together for good? Really? I know the Bible says all things but do you think it was a mistake. Did the writer mean to say most things and not all things.

I was reading a post on someone facebook this morning. It said "God is Good All The Time" Is God trying to tell me something. I do believe every Word of the Bible is true but..... I think this week I am going to pray that God show me the goodness in a certain situation that I can't seem to find.

God did do a little showing of his goodness to me this morning though. We had our church wide picnic a couple of weeks ago. I brought our horseshoes up there for people to play with. At the end of the night two of the horseshoes were missing. We were playing out in a field behind the church and we looked all around where the stakes had been but to no avail.

Well I am kinda anal about having things match. I know anybody that knows me is probably thinking at this point that I am anal about a lot of things. Such as washing your hands before you get ice or financial statements. What can I say some things just need to be a certain way.

Anyway back to my story I knew that I could probably find some at a yard sale but I really wanted mine back. So this morning after I dropped Andrew off at school Ti and I went on a search in the field.

As I was walking I was praying. Lord please let me find those horseshoes. Guess what. I not only found one of them I found both of them. He could have chose for me to only find one or not to find any of them but he was loving enough to put both of them in my eyesight.

They were not right beside each other but the Lord directed my steps to each spot where someone had left them. They were no where near where we had actually been playing at. I think I can thank some kid for that.

Anyway I can hear a little whisper in my ear. I guess I just proved to you who is God today. Thank you Lord for showing yourself in the small stuff. Please help me to allow you be God not only today but everyday.

By the way Timmy's answer to my question was maybe we just won't know it until we get to heaven.

So what do you think. Is God Good All The Time?

Something totally off the subject. I am kinda anal about who looks at this blog too. I have this thing on my sidebar that tells where people are from that are reading this blog. Most places I totally understand how they come across it but there is someone from near Wylie Texas that looks at it. I am very curious who this might be. I don't know anyone close to there. So if you happen to look at this blog and are from anywhere near Wylie I would love you to leave a post and satisfy my curiosity. Thanks

Puppies Almost Ready To Go

You might remember my previous post:

What do you get when you let this dog And this dog have a play date.
This VEEEERRRRRYYYYY Cute Puppy.
We have three to try to sale and this is the cutest one. I wish Tim would let me keep it. We really only have 1.5 dogs. Buddy only stays at our house half the time. He roams the countryside the rest of the time. He is just so stinkin cute. The boys have named him DJ.
Here are the other two. They look more like their momma. The boys named them blackout and Polkadot. Don't ask me how they came up with the names. I have no idea.

Ti likes them too and they love him back. At least they like his toes.

Noah - 8 years old

WOW I can't believe that I have a child that is 8 years old. I remember when we thought God might would never choose to give us a child and now that blessing is 8. OOOOOH how the time flies. He is growing up way to fast. He really enjoys school and is good at it. He does things with math in his head that I have to have a paper to figure out. Sometimes I ask him how he comes up with an answer and when he explains it to me I am amazed. We have one smart kid. He really likes all sports but currently he is playing basketball. He would love to play football but we don't want to join the boys and girls club just so he can do that. He is just going to have to wait until he is old enough to play in his school league. In basketball he plays in the guard position. He is really fast and loves to steal the ball from the other team. We are very proud of him in his academics and in athletics but we are more proud for his spiritual achievements.

The other day I picked him up from school and he was telling me how he was trying to convince one of his classmates that the Bible really was true. They have even found chariots and stuff where the Israelites crossed the sea. (proud momma moment)

Another proud parent moment was when we were in the car the other day. One of his friends was with us. His friend asked him if believing in God made you a christian. Noah answer was No it is more than just believing in God.

We have talked before about the devil believing there is a God. Just because you believe there is a God doesn't mean you have given your life to him and asked him to be your Lord and repented. I was so proud that he was able to share his beliefs with someone else.

There are days that you want to pinch their little heads off and think they don't have a chance of growing up to be a decent human being and then there are those days when you just get a glimpse of the potential they have to become the man that God has planned for them to be.

My prayer continues to be that he follows his name sake and he is a man after God's own heart. I pray that he will always stand for what is right and be able to share his faith so openly. That he will choose the narrow path and bring as many as possible along with him. He has the potential to be a great leader in God's army.
This is just a total side note. I can do that because it is my blog. Really I don't even have to make sense if I don't want to. Anyway, the other night we were at the school praying before See You At the Pole the next morning. We had been given a prayer guide that we could follow. One section was talking about protecting the children from pornography, sex out side of marriage, anyway you get my drift. After I got done praying Noah pops the question. You know the one you are never ready to answer.
Noah - Mom, what was that S word you just said.
Mom - Sex (at this point I am thinking OH NO why did I say that out loud)
Noah - Mom, what is sex?
Mom thinking in her head and dad set silently staring at mom to answer. What should I say? How much does he already know? What is the least amount of information that I can give and him be satisfied with the answer?
Mom - Sex is something that God gave husbands and wives to do and it is something that you are not suppose to do until you get married.
Thankfully, he accepted that as a good enough answer. I am not ready for that full blown conversation. Since he is only 8 hopefully I have a few more years to prepare myself. Or maybe that should be a daddy job???????

Sickies

Well my morning started out wonderful. If you count carrying a puking kid to the bathroom wonderful (not). Andrew has some kind of bug and Ti has a cold. I had decided I would take Ti to the doctor because he screamed for about a hour last night after I took Andrew to Preschool.

When Andrew got up he was complaining about his tummy hurting and he said he didn't want to go to school. He usually is dressed and ready to go before anyone else. So I knew something was up. So after Timmy left with the older boys it all started. Andrew asked for the puke bowl.

You know that bowl that every family has. The bowl that is designated as the puke bowl. I think we have the perfect one. It is not very tall but big around. So when you are laying in bed you don't have to raise your head very high to use it. I mean if you really think about it, if the bowl is to high you have to do a lot more work and if it is not big enough around well it might not catch everything, you really do need the perfect bowl.

Now back to the subject of my wonderful morning. I quickly told Andrew if he was sick he needed to go to the bathroom. I could see it on his face. That moment when you are thinking do I grab them an run or should I try to contain the mess in one area. I thought we might make it. (NOT) We got to within about a foot of the tile floor. Now the fun job of cleaning. (NOT) This is usually Timmy's job. The cleaning up the carpet part. Lucky for me he was already gone to work. (NOT) I had to clean it up myself. Well at least I tried. Timmy worked on it some more tonight. I am obviously not very good at the cleaning the carpet part.

I quickly called Timmy and informed him that I could not take a puking kid to the doctor by myself since I would have Ti. He decided to come home around noon to help.

Later that morning I realized that Andrew was also running a fever so I decided it would probably be best if I just took both of the kids in. Ti actually was taking a pretty good nap ( probably due to the fact that he didn't sleep last night), so I wanted to wait until we woke up. We left for the doctor about 1:50. We didn't actually get to see the doctor until 5 aargh. We went to the walk in clinic on Wedington. If they had told us when we arrived that it would be that long we would have just went home and made and appointment with the pediatric clinic and waited at the house until that appointment. Timmy was very, very aggravated. He was suppose to be at ball practice at 5:30.

I went into the clinic to sign in around 2:00 and told them I was leaving the kids in the car with their dad until it was our turn. I was planning on waiting in the waiting room but she said she would call my cell phone when it was about time for us to go into a room. 2.5 hours later she called. aaargh I didn't want to have my kids in there with a bunch sick people. You should have heard all the hacking going on. Seriously people should learn how to cover their mouths when they cough. Turning your head the opposite direction doesn't cut it. I thought about stating my opinion about this but thought I would probably sound hateful. So I settled for just thinking my hateful thoughts.

They checked Andrew for the flu and strep and both came back negative. They said that Ti just had a cold and there was nothing that we could give him. I was afraid that it might have turned into and ear infection with all the screaming he was doing last night.

Ti went to bed pretty good tonight but Andrew just got up because he was really thirsty. I took his temperature again and it is about 102. Please pray that he gets over what he has really soon. His first basketball game is Saturday and it will break his heart if he has to miss it.

Another "Sweet Andrew"

Andrew "Noah lets go watch TV"

Noah "I am grounded"

Andrew "Am I grounded?" (Andrew is clueless most of the time)

Noah "no"

Andrew "Well get out of here because I am going to watch some TV"

I guess sometimes Andrew is not so sweet. lol

The other day Tim was walking Noah into school. Tim tried to hold his hand and Noah didn't want to. Tim asked why he didn't want to hold his hand and Noah's response was "Dad I am in the 2nd grade" Obviously when you are in the second grade you don't hold your parents hand walking across a parking lot where other kids might see you. Dad is so uncool. By next year he probably won't even want to be seen with us.

Ti - 7 Months

Ti is now 7 months. He is pretty happy especially when his mom, dad or brothers are entertaining him. He says DADADA all the time but we all know that his momma is his favorite. lol He can set up mostly by himself and he can roll around any where he wants to go. Everyone talks about how cute he is. And I totally agree with them. He is eating food about twice a day. He doesn't have any teeth yet but I think this will happen soon since his gums on the bottom are white half the time and he drools constantly. He loves the dog and wants to try to lick her if she gets close enough. He gives us kisses by licking or sucking anywhere we allow him to on our faces. I never thought I would enjoy having someone slobber on me. I really don't mind it at all. What can I say I am in love. Thank you Lord for giving us such a special little boy.

Sweet Tidbits

On the way to AWANAS.

Andrew "Mom, how do you get pregnant"

Mom & Dad - Silence

Andrew "Oh yeah, God gives them to you"

Noah "No, they are a spot in your eye and then they go down into your belly"

I guess we have used the saying "before you were even a twinkle in your daddy's eye" a little to much.
