The Beach

Well by now I am sure that all two people that look at my blog are tired of seeing vacation pictures. This will be the last post. We did have a good time. Going with family was great for us. With a baby you need all the helpers you can get. Nannie spent a lot of time in the condo giving us time to do stuff with the older kids. Babies really don't have any desire to be in the hot or to have sand all over them. They really think it is no fun at all. Here is the family outside our condo. Our owner was very nice to provide everthing we needed. She provided the chairs, umbrella, jelly fish kit, boogie boards, movies, games and much more. Basically all we had to have was our clothes and food. It was great.

Yes, Andrew did write an A in the sand. Look how proud he is.

I love these picture.

We all made sand castles. With not being able to get in the water to swim one must find alternative means of entertainment. I say We very loosely I didn't actually help at all.

We won't say whose was the best. I did hear the excuse that someone stole all the tools though. hahaha

Our condo was on the bay side but we were close enough to actually walk to the ocean. Fort Morgan is skinny. You can see from one side to the other.

No beach trip is complete without being buried in the sand.

WooHoo what a hotty. I am just putting this one on here to aggervate Tim. You will notice there are really no pictures of me in my bathing suit. There is a reason for that. ITS MY BLOG.

Aren't you impressed that his shirt matches his shorts. Aunt Stephanie was very impressed also. Now that is one cute baby. And no that tree is not growing out of the top of his head.

The first day we do a little boogie boarding. The kids love this. I even enjoyed it. I even have pictures to prove that I did it. I am not posting any of mine though. Beached whale comes to my mind when I look at them. But I do have proof that I did it just incase I need that for some reason.

The Traxs

Because of the Jelly Fish issue we went to town each day to do something fun. On Monday we went to Traxs. It had go-carts, water boats, and video games. It also had this huge swing. Andrew wanted to do it but of course we wouldn't let him and he wasn't tall enough. He has no fear.

Noah is all serious about this motorcycle ride. I hope this isn't a hint of what is to come. This was Andrew favorite game. Moose watch out here comes Andrew.

Andrew chose to ride with Pops instead of me. I guess he doesn't like my driving.

I did not do the water boats because I didn't want to get wet. It was quite funny watching Timmy get wet though. He was just to tall to duck. He was the biggest target out there. One little boy that was out there was constantly shooting him right in the face. I was laughing hard.

Doesn't Tim look like a little girl screaming. Hehehe I know the picture is dark but it was just to funny not to include. The boys could drive these carts by themselves.

Nannie stayed at the condo with Ti so there are no pictures of them.

USS Alabama

Sunday after church we went and toured the USS Alabama. I had almost decided not to go because I didn't think my back could take walking around for that long. God was good I had no pain the whole time I was up and moving around. The boys enjoyed themselves. Of course we didn't get to read all the information on the walls because the boys were always ready to go to the next part but it was just interesting to see how everything was set up.The boys thought this was really cool. We walked up and down staircases the whole time. Tim and Pops took turns carrying Ti. To bad we didn't bring our backpack for him. It would have made it a lot easier.

Andrew is pretending to shoot one of the guns. This is the Submarine that we toured also.

At the end of the tour we got to talk to a veteran who had been serving for about 29 years. He had all kinds of metals. He gave us the short version of what most of them were for. I really wanted the boys to realize what kind of price people had to pay for our freedom. Four years of this man's life he spent as a prisoner of war in a Japanese work camp. I can't even imagine what he had to endure. We shook his hand and said thanks.

The boys fed the seagull cheese puffs out of their hands before we left. They thought this was the coolest. You could even throw them up in the air and they would catch them.

I am glad I decided to go and probably my favorite part was talking to the veteran at the end of our tour.

Laaaaaaambert

Nannie and Pops took all out to eat at Lamberts one evening. I had eaten there once before. It was really good and there is no way that your leave hungry. They told us it would be a two hour wait but we got in in about a hour.

Somehow Matt and Steph got stuck at the table with all the kids except Ti of course. I think all Andrew ate that night was the rolls. Noah really wanted to catch one so anytime someone wanted one we had to let him ask for it.

I think my favorite part of my meal was the fried potatoes and the boiled cabbage. They were reeeeaaaallly yummy.

WE HATE JELLY FISH

Sometimes us parents are not very smart. We went to the ocean today. The waves were huge and we had big plans to do a lot of boogie boarding. If anyone has ever been to the beach with a baby you know what a big process it is to get all the stuff from the car and set up on the beach. It took Timmy a couple of trips. About the time we finally get everything settled, Ti is in his swing under neath the baby canopy, the umbrella is up and the chairs are fixing to be set up Noah starts screaming and running out of the water. At this point I notice there is really no one else in the water. This should have clued me in before I allowed the boys in it. JELLYFISH. Noah had gotten stung by one. So here we go. Load everything back up and into the car but this time we have a screaming child to help also. Our condo had a jellyfish kit. We doctored it with Vinegar and baking soda. Within a couple of hours everything had settled back down. We are very thankful that he didn't have more of an allergic reaction.



Tonight we went walking on the beach. The jellyfish that were close up to the shore were pretty much dead. People were catching them with nets and throwing them up on the shore. Supposedly this was fun. Our family caught about 30 of them. Some people were even having jelly fish fights. Throwing them at each other. We were not brave enough for this fun.



Hopefully they will have left the area by tomorrow.

Alligators and Snakes - Oh My!!!!

Tim, Andrew, Noah, Pops, Uncle Matt, Allison and Regan all went to the alligator farm today while Aunt Stephanie and I did a little shopping. Thanks to Nannie for staying at the condo and keeping Ti. He has decided he doesn't like cars and car seats. It is sales tax free weekend here in Alabama. I don't think it was worth dealing with the crowds. Oh Well.

The boys had a lot of fun at the alligator farm. I think it might have been best that the moms were not there. This man is throwing chickens to them to eat.

I think Andrew might have got in trouble for trying to feed the alligator before they taped his mouth shut. Needless to say Andrew was enjoying his time with the alligators.
