First Day Of School

Ti is going to Kids Day Program on Wednesday while I work at the vet clinic. He is getting mobile and the office isn't the most clean thing at the clinic. Mrs. Ginny and Mrs. Wendy are his teachers. I think he misses his mama but I know he is in great hands. He is not up to taking naps when there is so much to watch around him. Maybe in January he might go on Fridays also. Andrew is going to Kids Day Program at our church three days a week. His teacher is Mrs. Kelly. He is so excited and loves everything about it. I asked him what he learned on his first day and he said "about Jesus". I think he would like to go everyday of the week if it was available. He says his favorite part of the day is playing with Garrett at recess. Oh yeah and he thinks his worksheets are soooooooo easy. lol
This year Noah is in second grade and his teacher is Miss Overstreet. He enjoys school even though he won't admit it. It seems to be very easy for him. I am ready for him to be challenged some. He thinks easy is good. His favorite part of the day is the special classes such as PE, Art, Computers etc. He usually plays football at recess and his best friend is Logan.

Hating is Not Allowed

The other day at church a little girl came up to me and informed that another little girl did not like her. She had a look of total astonishment that someone didn't like her. I quickly informed her that I liked her and I didn't know why anyone would not like her. Later I told her mom what she had said. Her mom told me that they had been teaching her that they are suppose to love everyone and that is probably the reason for her acting so shocked that someone didn't like her. Kids are so very matter of fact. If the Bible says it is wrong, well it is wrong. Later in the week I was informed that someone didn't like me either. I think I might have had the same thought as that little girl. How could someone not like me. You know maybe they don't want to be best friends but to actually hate me and wish me ill. Somehow that just seems wrong. Can we truly be a child of God and hate someone????? That put me on a search of the word hate in the Bible.

Leviticus 19:17
"Don't secretly hate your neighbor. If you have something against him, get it out into the open; otherwise you are an accomplice in his guilt.

1John 3
10 This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love (hates) his brother. 11 This is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another. 12 Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother's were righteous. 13 Do not be surprised, my brothers, if the world hates you. 14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. Anyone who does not love remains in death. 15 Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him.

I have to come to this conclusion. I am not allowed to hate anyone. That is what God's says and it is the Truth.

Another "Sweet Andrew"

We are riding in the Tahoe to bring Tim a drink at work.
Andrew "Mom, people are not obeying God when they smoke."
Mom "That's right sweetie"
Andrew "Cool, yellow car"
Andrew "Mom that woman is smoking in that van"
Andrew "Look a baseball field"

He is so random sometimes

Andrew is laying in my bed drinking hot cocoa on the first day that Noah goes to school.

Andrew "Mom, Noah is going to get a girl friend today"
Mom "Oh, really how do you know that"
Andrew "We talked about it last night"

Five minutes later
Andrew "I hope Noah gets a girlfriend"
Mom -nothing
Ten seconds later
Andrew " I hope I do too."
Mom - hides laughter

WooHoo Puppies

We had such an exciting Thursday. I went to work in Springdale that morning and Kendra kept the kids for me. I got them from her about noon and took Kadyn home with me. We have been switching off some this summer with babysitting.

That morning when we were leaving for their house and I was telling Andrew to hurry up (imagine having to rush Andrew lol) because we were going to Kendra. Andrew says "yeah, I am going to play with Asher". Mom says "No, Asher is in kindergarten now". Andrew says "aaaaawwww man, I only get to play with Kadyn". Obviously girls are not as much fun.

Anyway on to the exciting part. I fed the kids lunch and then they went into the bedroom to watch a movie. I went outside to check on Laci because that morning she was acting a little weird. She was due any day. When I went outside I could tell her water had broke and it was green. This was not a good sign. I called the vet and they thought I needed to bring her in. The puppies had had a bowel movement before being born. While I was talking to the vet I was letting Ti eat (I can multi task) so I told them when I was finished I would try to load everyone including dog and dog crate and head to the vet office.

I decided to stop by the school and pick Noah up for the big event. I really wanted him to experience the new puppie thing. So, Noah, Andrew, Kadyn, Ti, Myself and one very pregnant dog in a very large dog crate headed to the vet. When we get to the vet they decide to do a x-ray to see where the puppies are at and if they are headed the right way.

The kids thought that this was pretty cool. You could see the skeleton of each puppies. I was given the choice c-section or wait it out and see what happens. Due to not wanting to lose Laci or the puppies and not wanting to pay to have a c-section at the emergency clinic during the night we chose to go ahead and have the c-section.

My next thought was I don't have my camera. How am I going to blog about this exciting event without any pictures. So the good blogger that I am, I loaded the kids back up into the car to run home and get the camera. Really what is a good story without some pictures to go with it. So here are some pictures.

Dr. Thompson was on vacation so Dr. Waggoner delivered the babies.
After they are born they have to be rubbed on and suctioned a lot to get them breathing. Everyone had to take a turn. They even went and got the groomer to take one. Without going through the birth canal to squeeze all that stuff out of their lungs it is very important to get them breathing good first thing. They had to tell me what to do. Now I am a pro at this, so if anyone is planning on their dog having a c-section just let me know and I will come help. This is when things got just a little more exciting. The kids watched the whole surgery. The doctor explained what she was doing during it and they stood by the wall and just watched. After they got all the puppies out we went into the other room to rub on the puppies. Kadyn was standing beside me at the table. I look down toward her and I see her eyes rolling into the back of her head. Yes that is right, she passed out. Luckily I did set the puppy on the table and caught her before she hit the floor. Needless to say I never thought of watching puppies being born would make a child pass out. I don't see doctor in her future. I then called Kendra and confessed what a bad babysitter I was and that she probably needed to come as soon as possible and get her. She was not feeling well. I think my exact words were "wellllllll, there has been a little incident" Okay, now you know you never want to leave your kids with me.
She had five puppies but only four survived. We have three males and one female. At first she didn't realize that these were her puppies but now she is being a great mom. She doesn't mind us playing with them but other dogs better beware. Buddy realizes that she is not going to allow him any where near her children. At least not while they are so small. This is the prettiest one I think. He is colored up so good. They look kinda brown now but I think they will be turning red like their mother as they get bigger.
We are all staying in the garage a lot these days. We have a pin for them in the backyard as soon as they get a little bigger. Our garage is a little stinky these days.

PRAISE THE LORD

Praise the Lord that our kids can fight, scream, pinch and scratch each other. That they have to be threatened with their lives every night when they go to bed to be quiet. Praise the Lord that they need a snack before bed even though they just got up from supper and hour before. Praise the Lord that they are never satisfied with what we have for supper. That they would rather use the bathroom outside instead of inside. Praise him that they can cry over not getting hot cocoa in the morning to drink. That they can ask you how old they have to be to have a girl friend. Praise him that they can spit food at you and think it is funny. That they can poop where it not only goes all over their clothes but also cover the bouncy seat they are in. Praise him that they can cry when left in the nursery and smile as soon as they see their mommy. That they are alive and they are healthy. PRAISE GOD BECAUSE THEY ARE FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE AND GOD HAS A PURPOSE FOR THEIR LIVES

Ti - 6 Months

Well we have reached the half way point to one year. Ti weighs about 16 pounds and we go to the doctor next week for the rest of the measurements. He is a happy, healthy baby. He is happiest when he is being entertained by his mother (his favorite) or his dad and brothers. He can almost set up by himself but he has only turned over once. He is usually being carried around or held so he really has no need to turn over or set up by himself. He is eating some vegetable, usually with some protest, and cereal with fruit in it. He is usually pretty happy and now that we are back from vacation he is not eating during the night. woohoo for mom. Ti was an unexspected blessing and now we couldn't imagine life without him.
