Saturday Mornings

I remember when I was young I would get up before the cartoons would even come on.  You know when you had to just watch the white fuzzy on the TV.  Well I think the boys might be headed in that direction.

What is Andrew thinking....he knows that I don't allow him to eat chocolate donuts on the couch.  Don't worry I quickly took them away after I took the picture.

Even Laci likes to hangout to watch a little TV.....or maybe she was hoping that someone might drop part of a donut.

Yes, Laci is wearing Andrew's underwear.

The boys are finally getting old enough to stay quiet when they get up so that others can sleep a little longer.  It is a happy day at our house when the parents get to sleep till 8am.

Another Proud Momma Moment

We attending  Noah's award celebration in his class this year.  The teacher gave an award to each student for something they were good at.  Noah is a great student and I had asked him what award he thought he might get.  He thought maybe math since he usually always gets the answers right.

 It was very sweet how much thought the teacher had put into each award for each individual students.  Some got awards for being a good illustrator or athletics or various other things. 

Noah's award was the Einstein award.  For being good in math, science, english, etc.  She said she never gives the same award to more than one student but she just couldn't decide on who should get this award so Noah and Taylor both got it.  She complimented them for knowing everything before she taught it.  We are so happy that God has blessed Noah in this area of his life.  We are expecting God to do great things with his ability to learn and apply his knowledge.

I am thinking that everyone should brag on their kids a little so I will give you the chance to do the same.  I have never used one of these Linky things but I will give it a try.

Memorial Day 2010

This Memorial Day has been great.  We got to sleep in till 8:15 woohoo.  This is late for our kids.  I got up and made a cake for lunch from my Pioneer Woman cookbook.  It was yummy.  Tim worked on the church bus and his truck.  A bunch of manly stuff like changing oil and brake pads.   Tim grilled for lunch.... chicken and burgers, we walked our sheep and then we headed over to the neighbour to say thanks.  He served in the infantry for 21 years.  He fought in both the Korean and Vietnam war.  We took a couple of pieces of our yummy chocolate cake and visited for a few minutes.  I know sometimes we take for granted the sacrifice that people have made so that we can live in a free country.

This was the first piece that we were going to bring.  Noah was trying to show me a trick with his box.  Don't worry we got a new piece for the neighbour.

Noah thought it was a great day because he shot a bird with his Beebe gun the very first shot.  YUCK

Another Sweet Andrew

Have you noticed that the sonic cups say "Even Sweeter After Dark"  on them.  Andrew has.  He had left his tea in the car while Noah played his baseball game.  We all get into the car after the game.

Andrew - Mom I want my tea.
Mom - Okay but it is probably not very good.  It is probably watered down.
Andrew - No it says it is sweeter at night.

He cracks me up!!!!

We were so proud of him.

We were sad that Mrs. Kelly, Andrew's teacher could not be there.  So we didn't get any pictures with her.

 :(  He has learned so much from her this year and we are going to miss her.

Nannie and Pops came up to celebrate with us.   They treated us to dinner afterwards.

The Graduate got to ride with Pops to the restaurant.
