Noah - 9 Years Old

He is 9.  I can't believe he is 9.  It seems like just yesterday Tim and I were walking down the street discussing what if we were to happen to have a boy instead of a girl like the doctor had told us.  I can still remember Tim's face in the delivery room as he says "its a boy,  its a boy, we were suppose to have a girl"

I am so glad God chose to give us Noah.

Noah you are such a special gift from God.  We prayed for many years for you and God chose to grant our request.  We chose your name because the Bible says that Noah was a man after God's own heart.  That is my prayer for you.  That you will be a man after God's own heart.  You are so smart I know that you could do anything you want to in life.  I am amazed at your ability to learn new things.  I really think you might have a photographic memory.   I am so glad that you have gotten your dad's athletic ability and I enjoy watching you succeed in all the different sports you play.

I am very proud of your athletic and educational successes but I am more proud of your decision to follow Christ.  I love that you can memorize scripture not only to be able to repeat it back to me but to tell me what it means.  I love that you are learning why we believe what we believe.  That the Bible is the absolute truth and we should be able to have a response for people if we are ever asked in what we believe.  With your ability to make friends and be a people person maybe God will call you to the mission field or as a pastor.  I know that God has great plan for your life.

My prayer for you is that you would be protected not only physically as you advance in years but that you would be protected spiritually and that  you would hear Jesus speak to you each day.  May you follow is His footsteps and be bold in your witness to all those around you.  That you would long to spend time with Him daily and want to follow Him

That you would do everything without complaining or arguing, so you may become blameless and pure, a child of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like a star in the universe as you hold out the word of lif in order that you may boast on the day of Christ that you did not run or labor for nothing.  Ephesians 2:14-16

Noah I love you bunches and bunches and am so glad that I have got to spend the last nine years as your mom.

Ha! I remember when you guys found out Noah was in fact a boy. Your sister overheard the Dr and you guys talking. She then told us but ask us to not tell you guys that we knew.... but.... my wonderful husband is not good with secrets and surprises! =)
