Field Trip With Friends

We made our yearly trip to the Gentry Safari with our good friends Mandy & Maryssa. The boys get so excited to know that Maryssa is coming to Arkansas to visit. We all wish that they lived closer. This is when we set out. Andrew is already to busy watching the movie to look at the camera.

It was really windy.

I had to blog about this. The kids kept on asking what they were doing. Mandy words were "I think they are playing" The kids were feeding them bread as they were "playing" Obviously you can eat and play at the same time. It was all pretty funny.

I think the animal standing behind them is half donkey and half Zebra. Probably all the animals there are not full blooded anything.

I think this was all of ours favorite part. This monkey was about two years old. They are not adults until they are seven and they can live about forty-five years. He was very friendly. He crawled all over us.

They also enjoyed the petting zoo part. Really who wouldn't want to pet a pig.

The goats kept on wanting to eat Maryssa's shirt.

These prairie dogs are sharing a cookie we gave them.

Here are some of the animals in cages that we saw.

This part was really funny. We would roll down our window and he would try to stick his head in our car. He was quiet friendly.

On the way there Andrew kept on saying he wanted to see a zebra. He got to see quiet a few of them.

The emus are everywhere. This is one ugly bird. We think they have so many to help feed the lions and tigers.

On our way home we stopped at Pizza Hut in Siloam Springs for supper.

Ti is tired and ready for a nap. He is yawning.

We are so glad our friends decided to spend the day with us. To bad our visits have to be so far apart.

Bowling

Last weekend Nannie and Pops took us all out to dinner (La Huerta) and bowling. We had lots of fun. Needless to say I didn't win. When you go bowling about once every two years you are not very good. These pictures are in no particular order because it would have taken me to long.

Matt & Regan

Ti - Just hanging out. He had about three dirty diapers while we were there. I don't know if that is a sign that he liked it or disliked it.

Andrew thought it was a lot of fun.

Matt, Allison, Regan

I was trying so hard to get a good picture. Someone was either looking away or there was a shadow. Oh well maybe next time.

Timmy thinks I am disturbing him in this picture. He is way to serious.

Aunt Stephanie and Allison

We laid Ti in one of the seats while we weren't taking turns holding him. He liked all the noise and commotion.

This is the first time Pops held Ti. We had to make him. Look he didn't even break.

Pops and Noah

How many times during the day do I have to tell Andrew to get his hands out of his mouth? Noah is probably looking at the score at this point. Because everyone knows it is all about winning. Right? I don't know where he gets that competitive streak from.

Aunt Stephanie getting some Ti time

Bowling lessons!!!!!

Look at that form

Is this cool or what?
Nannie and Ti

We had been busy with D-Now all weekend but we were glad we took the time out for this. We had a lot of fun. Thanks Nannie and Pops for a night on the town.

Answer - Which One is Titus

Titus
Andrew

Noah

Do my boys look alike or what.

Another "Sweet Andrew"

Today in the car we were listening to KLRC. The song that says "leads me to the cross" was playing and Andrew was singing it.

Mom "Andrew, what happened on the cross"
Andrew "Jesus died, He CHOSE to feel that pain"
Mom "Who told you that"
Andrew "Mrs. Ginny, She knows a lot about Jesus. She reads her Bible"

At this point I had to call Mrs. Ginny and say THANKS. She is making a difference in my son's spiritual life. I don't know if my Sunday School class remembers anything I say to them.

Later in the car

Andrew "Yeah he chose to feel that pain. Then God made the earth shake. Then the chief guy said that really is God"

I remember when Mrs. Ginny told this story in cubbies. I probably can't count the times I had to get onto Andrew for talking and not listening (I thought). The getting in trouble thing happens every week. You really never know what is actually going through that mind of theirs.

I am so thankful we have people in our church who are willing to teach my child. It might not seem that he is listening to a word that is being said but obviously he is.

Just Got To Be There

I was reading my Sunday School lesson for next week. It is in Luke 13. It was the part of the chapter that tells about the woman who had been bent over for 18 years. Could you imagine having this disability. Just thinking about it makes me want to set up straighter. Anyway, she was at the temple listening to Jesus teach and JESUS SAW HER!!! She did not request anything of him but he noticed her. If it were me I probably would have been saying look over here, I am hurting, what will you do for me. Not her, she was just there to hear the Almighty's words and He saw her. Maybe we need to a little more of the listening and just being there, instead of trying to get his attention on our needs and who knows what could happen.

I have read my Bible all the way through so I know I have read this story before but I never realized that he sought her out and she did not try to get his attention. Isn't it amazing how we can get something new out of Bible each time we read it.

For Sunday School I think I will have Timmy hide on the playground and see if the children can see him to illustrate this story. Won't that be fun. Hopefully it will be dried out enough.

Lord, Please help me be more interested in what you want to teach me than what you can do for me.

Baseball

This was Noah first scrimmage game for this year. I think he was a little nervous, he was in a really bad, winey mood before the game. I asked him if he was nervous and he just shrugged his shoulders. His whole team did really good. They are playing machine pitch and now when you get three strikes you are out. This is different than tee-ball. He only got to bat once during the game, but he made it count. He got a home run. WooHoo for Noah. He also caught the ball once and threw it to first for an out. He is playing second base. We won I think.
