Hating is Not Allowed

The other day at church a little girl came up to me and informed that another little girl did not like her. She had a look of total astonishment that someone didn't like her. I quickly informed her that I liked her and I didn't know why anyone would not like her. Later I told her mom what she had said. Her mom told me that they had been teaching her that they are suppose to love everyone and that is probably the reason for her acting so shocked that someone didn't like her. Kids are so very matter of fact. If the Bible says it is wrong, well it is wrong. Later in the week I was informed that someone didn't like me either. I think I might have had the same thought as that little girl. How could someone not like me. You know maybe they don't want to be best friends but to actually hate me and wish me ill. Somehow that just seems wrong. Can we truly be a child of God and hate someone????? That put me on a search of the word hate in the Bible.

Leviticus 19:17
"Don't secretly hate your neighbor. If you have something against him, get it out into the open; otherwise you are an accomplice in his guilt.

1John 3
10 This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love (hates) his brother. 11 This is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another. 12 Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother's were righteous. 13 Do not be surprised, my brothers, if the world hates you. 14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. Anyone who does not love remains in death. 15 Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him.

I have to come to this conclusion. I am not allowed to hate anyone. That is what God's says and it is the Truth.
